General Information

As the Civil Aviation industry continues to grow at a phenomenal rate globally and in Turkey, the need for qualified personnel consistently increases. There is an indisputable need in the intensely competitive aviation industry for multi-directional leaders who can make decisions quickly, think conceptually, and have good command of operational level activities. In order to meet the demand, the Civil Aviation Transportation Management program aims to train the staff who will be employed at airline, air cargo, ground handling and airport terminal companies. With the purpose of providing our students with the technical and administrative skills required for aviation activities vocational lessons such as Business Management, Airline and Logistics Management, Passenger Services, Flight Operation, and others are given. Also, in addition to vocational lessons; for the students to acquire social skills such as responsibility, time and stress management, collaboration and effective communication; Management and Organization, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management in Aviation and other lessons are given. Students who graduate from Civil Aviation Transportation Management program are prepared to keep up with the changes and innovations in the field quickly. Therefore, improving students’ awareness in the aviation field is one of the core objectives of the program. 

Objectives

The primary objective of the Civil Aviation Transportation Management program is to raise the staff who will be employed in the operational or administrative departments of the companies in the aviation industry. Some of the main organizations that our graduates can work for are terminal operation companies such as TAV, LİMAK, IC PORT; ground handling companies such as TGS, HAVAŞ, ISG, ÇELEBİ; and airline companies such as Turkish Airlines, SunExpress, Pegasus, Onur Air and Atlas Jet. When the Civil Aviation Transportation Management program students graduate, they can start their careers with various job titles according to their choices. The vocational positions they can commonly obtain are:

Ground Handling Companies: Operations Officer, Passenger Services Officer, Cargo Officer,
Airline/Air Cargo Companies: Supervisor, Dispatch, Loadmaster, Customer Relations, Business Development and Planning

Maintenance Companies: DockPlaner, Marketing, Purchasing and Suppliance, etc.
